See the difference.

How It Works

The FlowShow fits onto the mouthpiece of a brass instrument. On the top is a flow meter that diverts a portion of the air passing through the device and uses it to lift a bobbin - the more airflow, the higher the bobbin rises. By watching the bobbin, you can see how much air would be passing into the instrument and how steady it is.

To help control the rise and fall of the bobbin, a screw is installed in the side of the device. If you’re working with more air, loosen the screw to let more air pass through and lessen how much the bobbin moves. Similarly, tighten the screw to make the FlowShow more responsive for lower flow exercises.

The FlowShow can be used to watch the volume of airflow as well as changes in airflow - i.e. tonguing or mouth position changes. Furthermore, instructors can use it to watch their student’s airflow for more precise instruction on a traditionally difficult to observe topic.

For Instructors

The FlowShow makes air flow visible. This enables instructors to see for the first time exactly what their student is doing with their air. Whether it’s teaching first-time learners or perfecting your advanced student’s fundamentals, the FlowShow can make the difference.

For Students

It all starts with the breath. Make sure you’re getting the most from your practice from the very first exhale. The FlowShow lets students drill their fundamentals efficiently and focus their practice time to get the most out of every session.

For Professionals

Sometimes it feels like a guessing game. Is my air steady through that tricky section? Is my tonguing repeatable every time? Cut the guesswork from your routine and become an air master - even if you’re already an expert.
